WELCOME

We couldn't be more excited for The Edmonton Open: an event focused on elevated competition and connection.

We invite fans and players to spend time at Tournament Central where you can watch players tee off on Hole 1, try to land on Hole 17's island green, and attack Hole 18's treacherous basket location... all while sitting with friends enjoying beer, food, music, games, vendors, and more.

Friday - Tournament Kick-off Event

5:00 - 8:00 PM

Come to Bailey's Crossing to kick off the weekend! Play a practice round, relax with friends over beer and food, or both! Here's everything that's going on Friday:

Beer gardens - Music - Food - Player check-in - Player Pack pickup - Corn Hole - Gander Disc Sales - Raffle

Free Kids Event: Challenge the Pros

Bring your young disc golfers to take on Casey Hanemayer and Noah Higgins! Don't worry, we'll make sure these pros have some significant disadvantages.

Saturday

6:30 - 7:00 AM: Player check-in and Player Pack pickup

7:00: Player meeting at Prodigy Tent - FPO - MA2 - MA3 - FA1 - MA40 - MA50

7:30 AM: Round 1 Shotgun Start - FPO - MA2 - MA3 - FA1 - MA40 - MA50

10:00 AM: Player meeting at Prodigy Tent - MA1 - MPO 

10:30 AM: Round 1 Shotgun Start - MA1 - MPO

1:30 PM: Round 2 Shotgun Start - FPO - MA2 - MA3 - FA1 - MA40 - MA50

4:30 PM: Round 2 Shotgun Start - MA1 - MPO

Sunday

8:00 AM: Final Round Shotgun Start - FPO + All Amateur Divisions.

11:30 - 3:00 PM: MPO + MP40 Final Round - Tee Times at 10 minute intervals

12:30 - 1:30 PM: Amateurs CTP + Putting Competition

3:30 PM: Closing Ceremony

EVENT STAFF

Calvin de Haan - Tournament Director

Calvin is one Gander Disc Golf's owners. He is passionate about playing disc golf and building community. Part of his vision for this tournament is to create a dynamic space for people to connect on and off the course. 

Andrew Wallace - Assistant Tournament Director

Andrew is the owner of Bailey's Crossing Disc Golf. He has spent countless hours building and maintaining this amazing property and he is thrilled to have everyone here to enjoy it in a tournament setting for the first time

Saturday:

Morning: coffee, muffins, and fruit

Lunch: sandwiches, pulled pork, chips, cookies, muffins, fruit, drinks

Dinner: burgers, smokies, snacks, drinks

Analog Beer Gardens: 10 AM - 8 PM

Sunday:

ACUMEN PERFORMANCE

Athletic Therapists and Strength & Conditioning Coaches will be on site to support you with stretching, injury prevention and recovery, preparation strategies, and mobility training. We know this will likely be new to a lot of you, but don't be shy and check them out! Here's some resources from them:

AMATEUR PRIZES

The top 3 finishers in each division will win a $25 Gander Gift Card and the winner of each division will win an Edmonton Open trophy

BAILEY'S CROSSING

Blue Layout: MPO - MP40 - MA1

Red Layout: FPO - MA2 - MA3 - MA40 - MA50 - FA2

Pace of Play: please be very mindful of your pace of play as you navigate the course to ensure smooth rounds for all groups.

Carts: it is possible to use a cart on the course, but some areas may require you to lift or carry your cart briefly

Nature: bring bug spray, sun tan lotion, and be mindful of thistles in the rough

Rules: please follow the PDGA Official Rules during your rounds. If you have questions or concerns, please contact the Tournament Director

Playoff Format: in the case of a tie, players will play in a sudden death playoff - Hole 1 then Hole 18 on repeat until a winner is crowned

HOLE 1

Hole 1 Notes: 

1. Fence line on the right is out of bounds. This fence is barbed wire, if you go out of bounds, use caution when retrieving your disc and take 6 feet of relief for player safety

HOLE 2

Hole 2 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

2. The power pole at the top of the hill is 200 feet away and the base of it is directly in line with the fairway's 90 degree turn left

HOLE 3

Hole 3 Notes:

1. Out of bounds right of painted line

 

HOLE 4

Hole 4 Notes:

1. Short of logs + painted yellow line is hazard

HOLE 5

Hole 5 Notes:

1. Left of yellow line is hazard

HOLE 6

Hole 6 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard. Both sides of the fairway slope downhill in the rough, especially the right side

HOLE 7

Hole 7 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

 

HOLE 8

Hole 8 Notes:

1. Triple Mando: if you miss the mando in any direction, proceed to the marked Drop Zone

2. Right of fence is out of bounds. This is a barbed wire fence - if you go out of bounds, retrieve your disc with caution and take 6 feet of relief for player safety

 

HOLE 9

Hole 9 Notes:

1. Out of bounds right of fence and long of logs. The fence on the right is barbed wire. Please use caution if retrieving your disc and take 6 feet of relief for player safety.

2. The front side of the tree line that encloses the green is about 420 feet from the tee pad. 

HOLE 10

Hole 10 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

 

HOLE 11

Hole 11 Notes:

1. Right of the painted line is out of bounds. This OB line stretches from the tee pad to the mando

2. Mando: must throw left of the marked tree. If mando is missed, proceed to the marked Drop Zone

3. Once around the mando, right of the chainlink fence is out of bounds

HOLE 12

Hole 12 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

HOLE 13

Hole 13 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

2. Off the fairway left slopes downhill

HOLE 14

Hole 14 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

2. Distance to where fairway curves into the trees is around 380 feet

HOLE 15

Hole 15 Notes:

1. No out of bounds or hazard

2. Steep downhill slope right of fairway and short of the green

HOLE 16

Hole 16 Notes:

1. Left of painted line is out of bounds. This line follows the entire left side of the fairway and wraps around the far side of the green, connecting to the out of bounds fence.

2. Long of fence is out of bounds. This is a barbed wire fence. Use caution if retrieving your disc and take 6 feet of relief for player safety

HOLE 17

Hole 17 Notes:

1. Out of bounds island marked by painted white circle. If your tee shot rests out of bounds, proceed to marked Drop Zone. Any subsequent out of bounds throws play as regular out of bounds, do not go back to Drop Zone
